Who we are

Studio Log is a project and kiln management app for glass and ceramics studios. The app is operated by Karen Skaret through Base44, and you can reach us at support@karenskaretdesign.com with any questions about this policy or your data.

Information we collect

We collect and store the following information that you provide when you create an account and use the app:

• Account information — your email address and name, provided when you register.
• Projects — project details, photos, and status information you add for your pieces.
• Kiln firings — firing logs, schedules, and results you record.
• Kiln maintenance — maintenance records you enter for your kilns.
• Glaze recipes — recipe ingredients, notes, and photos you save.
• Studio information — your studio name and the email addresses of members you add to a studio.

We do not collect this information for advertising, and we do not sell it. 

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to operate and improve the app, including to:

• Create and maintain your account and sign you in.
• Store and display your projects, firings, maintenance records, and recipes.
• Enable studio features, such as associating members with a shared studio.
• Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the app.

How your data is stored and processed

Your data is stored in a database hosted by Base44, our app platform and hosting provider, which processes data on our behalf. Data is stored on servers located in the United States.

We share your information only as needed to provide the service — for example, with Base44 as our hosting and infrastructure provider — and as required by law. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising purposes.

Studio sharing

If you create or join a studio, certain information may be visible to other members of that studio, such as the studio name and member email addresses. Only add members and share studio information with people you trust.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your account and associated data, except where we are required to retain certain information by law.

Your rights and choices

You can request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing us at support@karenskaretdesign.com from the address associated with your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access your data, request deletion, and object to certain processing. We honor these rights regardless of where you are located. 

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Studio Log is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
